baby room
Baby rooms are self-contained and well equipped to enhance your baby’s development. There is an area for young babies as well as a larger area for your baby to explore when they become mobile.
To ensure the highest standard of care there is one nursery nurse for every three babies. Our staff have experience to assist you with any support you may need in weaning your baby, teething and sleeping issues.
A separate cot room is provided at our James Reckitt Avenue Nursery should you require a quiet room for baby to sleep.
In addition to the care facilities, we also provide everything your baby needs including nappies, wipes, bibs creams and liquidised home cooked meals.
We can provide facilities should you wish to breastfeed your baby whilst they are at nursery.
toddler room
The toddler room accommodates children aged between two to three year olds.
The staff ratio in the toddler room is 1 staff to every 4 children and they have additional skills that can provide help and support with potty training and managing the terrible two’s tantrums.
The room is designed to be open planned to allow your child to explore and develop the basics in early numeracy and literacy. There is also plenty of opportunities to experiment with paint, glue, sand and water.
pre-school
The pre-school room was designed to accommodate children aged between three to five years old.
The rooms have designated areas to meet the child’s interests with an ICT zone, reading corners, role play areas, messy play and construction.
The staff in the pre-school room help prepare children ready for school, they set more challenging activities and they work closely with our local primary schools helping to ensure a smooth transition when they move to “Big School”
Each year a graduation ceremony is held to celebrate the children’s achievements whilst at nursery.
sensory room
We are proud to be able to provide a sensory room onsite.
The rooms have interactive play equipment, mood lighting and an aromatherapy diffuser adding to the ambiance that the room creates.
All age groups have access to this room, it is used for small group work, storytelling and for relaxing play that this valuable room offers.
outdoor
The outdoor play area is accessible by all age groups and has a sun protection canopy that means it can be used to aid and develop learning all year round.
The areas have static climbing equipment and a room for ball games.
We also have the use of wheeled play equipment and digging areas to plant vegetables, look for mini beasts and much more.
our out of
school club
was purpose built to meet the need of children aged 4 to 11 years. With the aim to provide affordable and quality after-school care to meet the needs of older children and provide stimulating activities.
As with the nursery the staff have been chosen for their commitment to working with the older children and meeting their needs.
The club is self-contained and very well equipped to keep your child fully occupied. The activities include a quiet area to enable your child to complete their homework or to read and relax. Craft activities, board games, construction toys, computers and game consoles are available for their enjoyment.
The school holidays are themed and planned to allow the children to participate in external activities which include trips to local tourist attractions within the Yorkshire area, we also bring in external guests for activities such as craft activities and education talks.
